In the middle of the Choctawhatchee Bay, Philly Joe capsized his canoe. He was rescued by a number of nearby boaters and well wishers.

Philly Joe was uninjured and even found a lot to laugh about during the whole incident.

The local police force arrived and generously provided for Philly Joe's needs while on land: Transportation, meals and housing.
